We knew her as the most outgoing, chubby and the most hilarious actress. Her phenomenal acting has always made us laugh so hard and she has inspired tons of women to be confident and to love and embrace yourself no matter what happens.
She is one actress that stands out of all, she is always happy, chirpy and nothing stops her. Even the character she plays is all super confident and dynamic.
No matter what people say, or how many bodies shaming she had to go through, she never let herself fall week to it. But then what was the reason she decided to lose her weight?
No, she was not embarrassed by her body type, in fact, she was very proud of it. In an interview back in 2016, Rebel spoke her heart out about her body type. She told the interviewer that when she first went to her agent, she really made a surprise.
Her agent was very impressed to see her and told her that they don’t have anyone in their books with such a body type and confidence. This probably was a thing Rebel was very proud of. She was one of her kind and she wanted to express herself more and more.
She said that she never wanted to compete with the glamorous kind. She expressed that she is not about her face or the outer appearance but she is all about her mind, humor, and inner beauty.
She said she could have got down to a skinny size but that was nothing that could have made her happier. But then you must be thinking of why she decided to lose her weight?
Have you heard how people incline towards that one thing they enjoy and love when they are stressed? Psychologists talk about it all the time. Some people incline towards video games, some towards sleep, some towards food etc. Well, Rebel had the same issue. Food was her drug.
She said that she is a crazy eater and there is nothing she would love more than having food. Her body’s harmony reacts in a different way and gains more fat then a normal body does.
Besides, her food habits were typically bad. She was a stress eater and she could not help herself from eating whenever she was stressed. Eventually, stress was not the only time she was eating, she was constantly eating.
She realized that she had to change this and her journey started in 2015. She started to control her life and wanted her habits to be better.
Her transformation shocked everyone when she walked on the red carpet. Although she kept posting things about her lifestyle on her Instagram, it was clear that she was not interested in losing any chance to get involved in any kind of physical activities. Her Instagram shows that she is very interested in playing tennis these days.
There were a few changes she made in her diet. No, she was not counting her calories with every bite she had, she introduced more fiber-rich food in her diet.
She introduced more and more veggies and fruits to her diet because they are high fiber food. She also started having healthy snacks like nuts and cereals. Baked chicken slices, cucumbers, and everything healthy you could think of.
Talking about her work out plan, no, she is not the kind who hits the gym daily. She prefers to work with more longer workout things that are fun too. In 2015, she posted a picture of her standing on a hill on a hiking outfit. She was actually hiking and also wrote that she lost 8 pounds in her 4 days tracking trip.
She also constantly plays tennis which probably is her new favorite game. Tennis allows her a lot of movement and running around. Also, the game is probably way too much fun to her. It keeps her body active on a daily basis without actually struggling to get fit.
She decided to lose weight not because she wanted to look slimmer but it was because she wanted to be fitter and healthier. Her stress eating had affected her health adversely and she wanted to work on the same.
