That was the biggest wakeup call you can get. He has diabetes and he talks about how the disease was destroying his body. He has swollen legs because of bad blood circulation. There was a point where the back of his leg was almost black.
His skin was cracking on the inside part of his legs. There were so many parts he was bleeding, and these all problems were affecting the kidney with them so badly. He was messed up with his life.
Then he decided to start the journey which is important according to his health so he invites his friend to do the same with him so that they both can support each other. He partners up with a friend to keep the record of each other.
His friend martin supports a lot during the journey. Martin helped a lot like taking the records of what they are eating and what they are working out for their health. He was a caretaker for him as well as his good friend.
They help each other, they pushed each other and also they motivate each other so much. Martin was down to earth person as he does not take any credits for that. When they are on the road they always try to find a gym.
They go to the gym every day and do workouts with high motivation. Once they entered the gym they forget about everything except his goal. They decide to do workouts alone because they believe that everyone has their way to do it.
Martin is all about lifting the weights and he is good at that. He got that penitentiary body. Sometimes Gabriel does not want to go for workouts as he feels very nervous or sad we can say.
Gabriel is interested in cardio, so he always goes for the treadmill, cycle or elliptical. He likes to do exercise with the cardio section, so he completes his target daily. Gabriel never gave up on his motivation for weight loss as he knows that only he can help himself.
He started to eat healthy every day; he always mentioned that his girlfriend helps him a lot to change and to develop a healthy lifestyle. He serves the food which is only suitable for his weight loss.
Gabriel so many times mentioned that his girlfriend was the one who motivates him even on dinner nights or outside of the home. She was helped him a lot. She says that she wants him to be around and once she said to Gabriel that she does not want Gabriel like this.
Nobody can deny the fact that Gabriel’s girlfriend was the first who started helping him because she was also started gaining so much weight because of him. Then she decided to shred some pounds for herself only.
After that she started to work out with a personal trainer and then she invites Gabriel to do the workout with the trainer. Now that trainer is working for Gabriel. She gives such an awesome motivation and a great start-up to his boyfriend.
When he started his journey, he cried. Yes, he broke down sometimes. He feels sad about this pain. He wanted to give up but he does not want to. He always cheers himself by remembering his limited life.
In many interviews, he mentioned the pain he experienced on the journey. There was a time when Gabriel is ready to give up because it’s hurting him like hell. Then he told himself that “if I don’t this, then am going to be gone”.
While everything was hurting and all that stuff so frustrating he chooses to be strong and healthy. That’s what makes him successful in weight loss. As a big man, his body could not handle doing cardio every day.
He was cautious when trying to do any type of cardio. Because of so much weight, he is not able to hang or he is not comfortable in running too fast. Cardio hurting him a lot while doing workouts and this is a common fact.
He was plenty of issues according to health. He also has the issue of knees, and this is a really common problem in obese peoples. Then he started to do DDP Yoga. This yoga developed by former wrestler Diamond Dallas. By using their body weight he chooses the yoga to do.
At 450 kgs of weight, it is very difficult to sit on the floor and then get back withholding the chairs and tables. So he uses the chair so that he can grab it to get up. He is not even able to do burpees. So he decided to do workouts with some ease.
Then he learned about some ideas that can make fast food healthy. He searches about it, he goes to the nutritionist for food advice and he started to follow the proper diet. As we all know that he is a stand-up comedian and because of that he travels a lot from city to city.
When he knows that there are very fewer options available for healthy food outside then he adapts fast food to fit into his healthy lifestyle. He always tries to choose low card food like no bread no buns or no sandwiches n all.
He always chooses to eat grilled chicken or something like this because there are options outside that has high protein food in their stalls or shops. Gabriel tries to eat only high protein foods.
Gabriel believes that weight loss is all about baby steps and he achieved his goals very properly.
