Metz has always faced from weight problems since she was 3 years old. She tried seducing her weight an ample number of times.
She always once revealed how she has been thinner at various stages in her life. However, she knows she will always be considered a chubby one. How she was sent to ‘weight watchers’ when she was just 11. She was the youngest in the room.
#02 – From start to end
she moved to LA alongside giving auditions she started working as an agent’s assistant. She used to set up auditions for others and see them achieve what she always wanted too.
However, she revealed how one day she realized that this isn’t fair. Before landing to one of her most famous roles, ‘this is us’ she lost 50 pounds. However, later on, she realized that that was just to gain another 100, mainly because of depression.
She also talks about how she relates to her role ‘Kate’ understanding the weight problems. She also speaks about how her parents were more or less similar to that in ‘this is us’
She also talks about how she feels she was going through depression and was eating up her own feelings. She also talks about how she had to be conscious about what to eat while her friends enjoyed.
#03 – Towards the loss- after
gaining weight and having a panic attack on her 30th birthday Metz had to think about having weight surgery. However, she decided to fight and pick herself up.
She stared with small little steps beginning and was successful in losing about 100 pounds in less than five months. In an interview, she revealed her secret to this. She told how she decided to take on a 2000 calorie diet with walking just 20 minutes a day.
This helped her make things better for herself not just physically but mentally. How she felt better and fresh as a person.
#04 – Tips
Metz also reveals some of her tips to motivate others the most important being on loving your own self. She reveals how she is still working towards losing weight however how all of that is for herself.

MEDITATE: she tells how meditation not only helped her relax her muscles and bodies. They helped her anxieties and problems but also helped her lose weight. She reveals how meditation helped her ‘self-help’.
MAKING YOUR FOOD HABITS HEALTHIER: Metz also talks about having healthier and balanced diets, she says how she prefers eating balanced meals but also doesn’t avoid snacks, but only the healthy once.
She also reveals how she tries to avoid comforting food when she is facing an emotional situation. She feels that when stressed or worried people usually make unhealthy food choices. Ultimately, you being a part of this vicious circle.
PROPER FITNESS ROUTINE IS A MUST: Chrissy Metz revealed how it is it is interesting moreover beneficial if you proper routine. You can have a simple and light one. The one without killing yourself yet see changes and results in you.
OVERWEIGHT AND ITS CONSEQUENCES: Overweight comes with its own set of diseases from heart problems to others. She reveals how her father went through quadruple bypass surgery. However, reveals how she doesn’t want to be a part of it.
Learning and knowing about the extreme consequences of overweight can be one of the biggest motivational factors.
DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF: Do not rush, take things slow. Always remember losing weight is a gradual process and cannot be achieved overnight. It takes its own time. Do not force your body or do extremes like not eating at all or changing your diet to the extreme.
Also, make sure you make the changes are in accordance with those which can be accepted by your body and your work schedule.
“DON’T LET THE SCALE DEFINE YOU”: Lastly it is not about what your scale or your weighing machine shows. Always remember it is not that scale that defines you but your personality.

#05 – Her confidence
She is taking small steps towards losing weight but just for herself. She goes out wearing what she feels good in and not what the world would accept her in. Last but not least it will always be a big no to weight surgery. She is going to achieve her targets with her own motivation and determination.
